RUDOLPH W. GIULIANI
Tuesday, September 6, 2005 – 8:15 p.m.
Rudy Giuliani served two terms as mayor of New York City. During this
time, overall crime fell 65 percent, welfare rolls were cut 60 percent
as 640,000 individuals gained the dignity of self-sufficiency, 450,000
private sector jobs were created and a 2.3 billion dollar deficit
became a multi-billion dollar surplus. Mayor Giuliani’s greatest
challenge was the 9-11 attack on the Twin Towers of the World Trade
Center. Tirelessly working to restore the city and the morale of its
residents, Mayor Giuliani was widely lauded for his steady hand during
frightening times. Today he leads Giuliani Partners, a professional
services firm dealing in areas including emergency preparedness,
public safety, leadership during crises, corporate governance and
financial management.
